In this article, we explain what the best statistics are for Arms Warriors (WoW 4.3), how the class benefits from each of them, and what your reforging strategy should be. We also detail what the various caps are and why they should be attained. The statistics priority is important as it influences reforging strategies as well as itemisation choices (gear, enchants, and gems).
Make sure to check our Gear Optimisation Guide, which serves as a support guide for this article. The other articles of our Arms Warrior guide can be accessed from the table of contents on the right.

2. Getting a Better Understanding↑top
Strength is by far the best statistic for an Arms Warrior. It far outweighs any other statistic, and you should aim for Strength in any way you can get it.
Hit Rating is the next best statistic to get, up to the 8% hit cap (for which Draenei need 841 Hit Rating, while other classes need 961 Hit Rating). After the cap, Hit Rating becomes your least valuable statistic.
Critical Strike Rating has a comparable value to Expertise Rating (until the expertise cap). Ideally, you should be able to reach the expertise cap without sacrificing any Critical Strike Rating. If it comes to a choice between more Critical Strike Rating or reaching the Expertise Cap, it is up to you to decide whether or not the extra reliability granted by removing the chance to be dodged is appealing to you.
After reaching the expertise cap, Mastery Rating is your next best statistic. The Arms Warrior mastery, Strikes of Opportunity, gives your melee attacks a chance to trigger an additional melee attack which hits for 100% weapon damage.
Haste Rating is by far your weakest statistic, and you should try to avoid pieces of gear with Haste Rating as much as possible.
